About us
In September 2012 Brunswick Singers in Harmony were formed under the leadership of our musical director John Stather. The aim was to focus on traditional folk songs and recruit from the local community.but not necessarily exclusively. Rehearsals take place in the Dawlish Methodist Church at 7.00 pm on Fridays. Starting with a small number, the singers have grown to the current membership of 19.
Initially we concentrated on carols to prepare for our first concert in December 2012 at the Methodist Church in aid of Rowcroft Hospice. This was well received with a good audience so rehearsals concentrated on the folk songs, which were performed at our second concert in July 2013 with an audience of 80 people. Proceeds for this went to the Devon Air Ambulance.
At the moment we would welcome alto and soprano singers but anyone interested in singing in harmony will be most welcome.
Anyone who wishes to book the Brunswick Singers may use the contact page on this site.
